We have been certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) since January 2011.

Svendsen Enterprises Inc. was established in 1997, and works in all aspects of the steel trade, including manufacturing and erection of structural steel, bridges and miscellaneous metals. We also do custom steel and stainless steel manufacturing.
We have our own Terex 23.5 ton boom truck and can do any specialized rigging with higher capacity cranes when required up to 500 ton.
We are an approved subcontractor for the Port Authority, MTA, Amtrak and School Construction Authority.
Our main shop equipment consists of four Kone overhead cranes a Controlled Automation three spindal 48" beam CNC Drill Line, Piranha Iron Worker, two Marvel Band Saws with CNC 60 degree capability and Controlled Automation CNC Quad Punch angle and plate machine. A CNC 400amp High Definiton plasma/oxfuel 10' X 24' table, five flux core mig welders (capable of welding 415 inches of 1/16 wire a minute) which allow us the opportunity to work on structural jobs up to 1000 tons. Our CNC three spindal drill line, plasma table and angle master are all linked to our office computers which allow our in house detailers to transfer CNC files directly to our machines from our SDS2 detailing program. Our CNC plasma-burning table is able to handle 10' x 23' material up to 6" thick. An Accurpress Model 740012 was purchased in 2011 and new for 2012 a Maxiem Water Jet and a Peddinghaus Automatic Beam Coping Machine. Our office is equipped with high speed cable internet and XEROX 6279 wide format high capacity printer / color scanner and a Xerox Workcentre 118 so we can send, receive, print , scan to our FTP site and e-mail full size drawings instantly along with printing up to 36"x 42" drawings and faxing and emailing 11" x 17" prints. We also use Fabsuite fabrication control program to allow us to fully monitor all aspects of the fabrication and drawing process from the estimate to the final delivery at the site.

1. The renovation of World Trade Center Towers 1 & 2, which consisted of installing 56
foot long W14 x 211 beams over live switch gears
2. Stonybrook University Student Center which included an auditorium with 120 foot long
joists
3. The Van Wyck Expressway Overpass Roadway which included removal and
replacement of 15 foot x 64 foot long pre-cast roadway units
4. The Ross School in East Hampton NY which included 2 school buildings and new
gymnasium
5. JFK and LaGuardia Airports E-Z Pass Sign Structures
6. 18 Story Apartment Building in Manhattan
7. Con-Ed Substations in Manhattan (400 tons) and Bensonhurst (100 tons)
8. Window Reinforcement at New York State Insurance Fund in Manhattan
